Watch a cricket highlights video of Virender Sehwag in particular from the 1st day's play of the 2nd test between India and Sri Lanka. Sehwag was 128 n.o. at the end of day's play which saw India 214/4 with VVS Laxman at the other end. The rain not only interrupted play but also served as a bridge between Sri Lanka's fortunes. One moment, Sri Lanka is staring down a nervous barrel with India going into lunch 150 odd for no loss and the next, India loses Gambhir, Dravid, Tendulkar (first ball four off Mendis) and Ganguly in the space of just 3 overs. Sehwag once again produced a brilliant knock when the rest appear clueless - the number of times he's done this is remarkable. Also other than Michael Slater (to a lesser extent), I can't think of anyone else who consistently goes for a six when he's in the 90s, 190s or 290s. Earlier, Gambhir was fantastic doing what he does best with his Delhi and IPL teammate. Apologies for about 30 odd runs of Sehwag at the start of his innings going missing in this video - broadcast issues to blame. Rahul Dravid was a bit unlucky today - the catch by Warnapura appeared to ricochet off his helmet grill thus making it not out according to the laws. In fairness to the two batsmen out there, neither would have caught this aspect, thus realistically ruling out the review option.
