Several questions remain elusive at this point:
The Border-Gavaskar Test cricket Series was initiated in 1996 and India won the only test played. Of the next six series played between the two countries, Australia won 3 while India won 2 series with the 2003-04 series drawn. That drawn series ensured India who were the holders of the trophy (having won in 2001), kept it to make a neat 3-3 to India-Australia as far as holding the trophy remains. So who's going to have their name to the left of 4-3 at the end of this series.
Will Ricky Ponting get over Harbhajan Singh (on-field) and his poor record in India. Ponting has 1349 runs at home vs India in 20 innings. But step onto an Indian wicket and this plummets to 172 runs in 14 innings.
Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman have the mindless cynics baiting them.
Who will Australia turn to when they're faced with a 70/4 or 5 with no Gilchrist and Symonds around. Personally, if Symonds wants to go fishing or sit in a bar and drink with Lara who cares as long as he continues to be useful in the team. And how on earth did Michael Clarke become this important. Last I remember (damn the stats) he was an annoying rip-off of Michael Slater.
Can Matthew Hayden repeat what he has done every series in India
Will Sehwag do unto the Aussies what he did over the last year: Australia - 151 at Adelaide, Sri Lanka - 201 and South Africa - 309
When Tendulkar gets a hundred, will it be a double or just another hundred.
