India vs Australia Day 5 Highlights 3rd Delhi Test

Watch cricket highlights from the 3rd Delhi Test - Australia vs India - 5th Day's play from the Feroz Shah Kotla. Result: Match drawn.

The big news from this day was the retirement of Anil Kumble - detailed video of that here .

The Indian run-scoring was in-stasis in the early part of the morning session and as a result the possibility of an Australian win loomed realistically. Even Gautam Gmbhir was playing a survival game. Sachin Tendulkar came in and run-scoring cricket with some fantastic backfoot drives off Lee and the others but downed shutters once Gambhir was dismissed. Though the run-scoring slowed down for a while as Sachin and Laxman did a Bangalore test Day 5, they both looked so comfortable, an Aussie win drifted into a safe draw. Tendulkar got out just short of a half century, yet again to Cameron White, playing a weird shot but by then VVS and he had ensured a draw. Laxman played breathtaking cricket and Ganguly’s breezy knock pretty much smothered out the win-possibility for the Aussies.

VVS Laxman was the Man of the Match for his double hundred and crucial half century in the 2nd innings

Fore-Play: ustralia have the upper hand and though India should comfortably work out a draw, you never know. If only India could come out today with a win-mindset and destroy the morning session and set Australia a one day sort of target to chase down.
