Watch cricket highlights - WI vs England 4th Test Highlights 3rd Day played on Feb 28, 2009.
Scores: Ramnaresh Sarwan 184 no, Chanderpaul 70 to take WI to 398/5.
Sarwan's 3rd hundred in 4 innings and a big one in what could be a defining knock in this test that appeared out of West Indies hands. West Indies could have been in a better position if not for some referrals controversy with Chanderpaul and Nash at the receiving end. WI are still adrift by a little over 200, but crazy things have happened in this series already.

Scores: South Africa 220 - AB de Villiers century 104. Aus 51/1.
AB de Villiers scored almost half the eventual SA total but couldn't prevent the option of a follow-on, not taken by Ponting. There were some moments of controversy with the referral system and hostile fast bowling by either side. At the end of day 3, Ricky Ponting and debutant Phil Hughes were at the crease when bad light stopped play.

Scores: Eng 600 declared. Ravi Bopara 104, Paul Collingwood 96. West Indies 85/1.
England piled it on the lacklustre West Indies fielders and bowlers again on Day 2 with Collingwood falling short of a hundred while Bopara made the best of a dropped catch early on to notch up an impressive century. West Indies lost Chris Gayle to a referral and have an arduous task ahead on Day 3.

A Mitchell Johnson special and a North century took away all that was good for SA on Day 1. It intensified when they came out to bat with South Africa tottering at 2/2 before Kallis and McKenzie stabilised for a while. Kallis was eventually out but did reach 10,000 runs in test cricket today.

NZ Chase
Watch cricket highlights - NZ vs India - 2nd 20/20 highlights played at Wellington on Feb 27, 2009.
Scores: India 149, Yuvraj Singh 50. New Zealand chase goes to the last ball. Brendon McCullum 69
India tried to rectify their mistakes from game 1, but fell away yet again. The only reason it wasn't embarrassing was because of Yuvraj Singh's knock played in his natural fashion off 34 deliveries. There were a few shots here and there after a short Sehwag blitzkrieg, but a lowish total against this Kiwi side.
The game swung India's way with spin and an Irfan Pathan 18th over. However the scary prospect of Brendon being not out in a Kiwi loss was brushed away with timely hits.

Watch cricket highlights - WI vs England 4th Test 1st Day Highlights - from the Barbados Test played on Feb 26, 2009.
Scores: England 301/3. Andrew Strauss 142, Alistair Cook 94.
England capitalized on dropped chances and put on a massive opening stand of over 200, before WI snared a few quick wickets. The poor fielding continued towards the end with an opportunity to get KP out missed. England are sitting pretty unless a super spell of bowling and improved fielding can change things.

A day's play of fluctuations with SA having Australia reeling in the morning session before a Ponting-Clarke partnership pulled Aus back into the game. Haddin and debutant Marcus North were going pretty well when poor light halted play for the day - the game's wide open for both sides at this point.

Scores: India 162. Raina 61. New Zealand win through - McCullum 56, Guptill 41, Ross Taylor 31, Oram 29.
An arrogant display by India brought crashing down to earth by the Kiwis after the Indians got carried away by the small ground and launched into big hitting mode despite constantly losing wicket. NZ played this perfectly always keeping the target in control and pushing the big shots as and when necessary.

Watch cricket highlights of Day 5 of the 3rd ARG Antigua Test - West Indies vs England - an unbelievable match-save by the West Indian batsmen.
A Sarwan hundred in the company of Chanderpaul gave the draw outcome a sniff, but the lower order batted and batted, with Powell and Fidel Edwards putting on a 10 over last wicket stand to save the test match.
Flintoff gutsed it out despite a painful hip, but the WI resolve was unexpected and fantastic to watch.

England batted on and on despite a huge total on the board - but while Gayle was going they'd have been pretty happy with their decision. Sarwan continued from his 94 in the 1st innings and his partnership with Chanderpaul on Day 5 will be the most intriguing aspect of the day's play.

Sarwan played a lone hand on a difficult wicket, with good shots while some of his colleagues added a few runs streakily at the other end. England had the option of enforcing the follow on but opted to bat and were a wicket down with Strauss back. With an overall lead of 312 runs, looks like Eng are going to bounce back into the series unless a couple of the West Indian batsmen play spectacular cricket.

A piling on day for England with Collingwood and an uncharacteristic Pietersen bringing on the runs. The lower order also chipped in to post an imposing 1st innings total on a wicket that has sprung a few demons already. It's looking tough for the West Indians with Gayle back after a quick-fire, yet streaky 30.

A super finish to the game, with McCullum turning it on towards the end and an Adam Voges catch pulling the game back for Australia. Eventually, NZ needed 12 runs off the last 2 balls and Brendon's brother Nathan could clobber a 6 and a 4 to leave NZ a run short of a tie.

Scores: Australia 168 (22 overs). Haddin 88, Ferguson 55. NZ 123/6 - Guptill 64 no, Diamanti 26 no
Rain spoilt New Zealand's chances of taking the series. Earlier, Australia accelerated towards the end to pile up 168. With 2 overs being removed from the NZ run-chase, the new D/L target was 156. Though NZ went at breakneck speed they also lost 5 wickets in the first 6 overs. Guptill continued to belt it all around and just when they had the game in control, the rain poured down dampening a potentially excting finish

This Twenty20 game was a one-off match in the 2009 tour of Sri Lanka by India. Sri Lanka through Jayasuriya and Dilshan got to 171. While Yuvraj and Raina were going, it seemed to be India's way, until SL knocked India to 115/7 with Sanath also bowling a mean spell. With the game pretty much gone, the Pathans pulled off one of the most stunning victories in recent times with sensational hitting right at the death.

Score: NZ 244. Taylor 76. Australia win. Hussey brothers in action.
NZ batted first and were off to a quiet start. Brendon McCullum whose shoulder took a nasty blow in the 3rd ODI, was back at the top of the NZ batting order, but didn't get a continuous run of the strike and when NZ did lose a bunch of wickets, they got stuck for a while. A super knock by Ross Taylor and blows by other lower-order batsmen ensured NZ got to 244 at the end of 50 overs.
Mike and David Hussey got together to pull Australia out of a slightly dicey situation to a win in the 49th over. NZ dropped a crucial catch and didn't seize a couple of half-chances, but a dominant Aussie performance for the most part.

A super performance by the recently suffering Aussies - it all kicked off with the Brad Haddin at the top experiment coming off big time. Hussey (Mike) chipped in with a quick 50 towards the end of the innings. NZ found it hard especially considering Brendon McCullum was incapacitated through a shoulder injury during the game. He did come on late in the game and belted a few around, but the Aussies were mostly in control of this one.

Score: Sri Lanka 320. Dilshan 97 Sangakkara 84 (70). India 252 all out. Yuvraj Singh 73
SL batted first and amassed 320, though the manner in which Dilshan and Sangakkara had taken SL to 209/1 in the 32nd over, 350 was very much on. A flurry of wickets around an Ishanth Sharma over pegged SL back, but a good showing nevertheless, the first time SL has batted first in this series.
The Indian chase came apart early on but was kept seriously alive through a Yuvraj Singh special. Yuvraj was eventually awarded the Man of the Series, while Sangakkara walked away with the Man of the Match.

The West Indians then took charge of the game after Devon Smith's fall with an intense partnership between Gayle and Sarwan. The two were not out on stumps on a pitch that appears batsman-friendly.

MS won his 4th toss in a row and India reached 332 - Gautham Gambhir 150. MS Dhoni 94. Personally, found Gambhir's knock more entertaining, with Suresh Raina chipping in towards the end with a quick 49 no. The Sri Lankan chase once again fell short and India won their 9th game in a row to lead the 5 match series 4-0. Jayasuriya and Dilshan did start off more than brightly, but even with another Sangakkara fifty, it all came apart in the end, in a game that saw Mendis being rested.
Pre-game: The series is gone as far as Sri Lanka is concerned, but there's plenty of unattended stuff at this point - like Sachin Tendulkar being allowed to play a game normally without umpires getting in his way, Mendis vs Yuvraj yet again (notwithstanding the 3rd ODI Yuvraj hundred) and the like.

A critical innings by former captain Kevin Pietersen to once again pull England out. Flintoff played a restrained knock later in the day 43 (138), but will possibly try to score more on Day 2.
Ian Bell kicked off brightly but did calls for Owais Shah no harm by going into no-scoring mode and getting out for 28. An interesting day of captaincy for Chris Gayle who was able to strike out KP, just when he looked to have shifted the game wholly in England's favour.

Scores: India 363. Yuvraj Singh 117 (95) and Virender Sehwag 116 (90). SL 216 all out. Kumar Sangakkara 83 (82). India win the series with two more games to go.
Yuvraj and Sehwag mauled Sri Lanka with hundreds with some of the finest shots you'll ever see in cricket. SL didn't help themselves - dropped catches and severe misfields. India piled on towards the end through Yusuf Pathan- a blazing 59 off 38 deliveries. Earlier, Tendulkar had his third wrong LBW decision in 3 games, but he was in the balcony watching his proteges tear into Mendis and the others.
Prematch: In a five game ODI series, SL are already 2 games down. With Sangakkara and Jayawardene not being at the peak of their powers, there seems to be too much emphasis on Jayasuriya kickstarting as well as sustaining the innings. Very exciting game ahead.
